Empowering a New Layer of Leadership on GWF’s Campuses

We are thrilled to announce new leadership teams on three of our Mpumalanga cluster digital learning campuses. This follows a period of operational restructuring necessitated by the growth and refinement of our programmes over the last 12 months as well as by our commitment to establish two more digital learning campuses in the Mpumalanga cluster by the end of 2018.

At our central campus in Hazyview, our new Head of Campus is Ms. Linky Nkuna (previously Head of our satellite campus in Justicia). Ms. Nkuna is a 2014 Mandela Washington Fellow and has been a full-time GWF team member since 2010. Ms. Nkuna joins existing Open Learning Academy Coordinator, Ms. Zodwa Buthelezi, and existing Bridging Academy Coordinators, Mr. Njabulo Mashele and Ms. Marcia Pungulimwe.

Ms. Delisiwe Mkhwanazi, who has been a Bridging Academy Facilitator at Hazyview Digital Learning Campus since 2014 is now the Bridging Academy Coordinator at the campus. They join Ms. Kind Khoza who is the existing Open Learning Academy Coordinator at Justicia.

At our newest satellite campus in Huntington we are proud to announce that Ms. Jane Mandlazi has been appointed Head of Campus. Ms. Mandlazi will be supported by new Bridging Academy Coordinator, Ms. Yingisani Khoza (previously Bridging Academy Facilitator at Justicia Digital Learning Campus), and new Open Learning Academy Coordinator, Ms. Glenrose Mashigo (previously Open Learning Academy Facilitator at Hazyview Digital Learning Campus).

“All Head of Campus positions were advertised both internally and externally and our executive committee is extremely proud that our internal candidates demonstrated the necessary skills, vision and values to win their respective appointments,” said Head of Programmes & Campus Operations, Ms. Maria-Goretti Awogu.

Our Head of Staff Development, Ms. Maureen Groch, will continue to provide our new and existing leaders with her unique Ubuntu-based leadership and management training.

We look forward to welcoming you onto our campuses to meet our new teams!
