“Think, Breathe and Be Creativity.” 20 students from Madlala Digital Learning Centre attended the Mpumalanga Schools Festival in Nelspruit, a project of the Grahamstown Foundation, thanks to the All Heart Fund. In many rural South African schools, there is not the time, facilities or resources to create a robust Arts curriculum. Understandably, the focus is on preparing students for mainstream subjects such as Maths and Science. This festival is an answer to that problem: it is a two day event offering workshops and lectures that develop an interest in Arts, culture, theatre, dance and movement.
