GWF Week in Edu-Tweets #13

1. From GWF CEO Kate Groch, who has been leading the #EducationRevolutionaries to challenge education in South Africa and ultimately all over the world. The mission is to challenge What we learn, How we learn and Who has access to that learning. The achievements are evident through the ‘wonderfilled’ learning happening in rural Mpumalanga.

2. This week, GWF Media and Communications Manager Ryan James and GWF CEO Kate Groch received the keys to the new Justicia Digital Learning Campus building with Linky Nkuna. This campus will accommodate more rural learners, allowing them affordable access to the digital world!

3. Kate Groch sets foot for the first time in the completed Justicia Campus. Interviews and applications to study at this campus are underway throughout Justicia and its neighboring villages such as Lillydale and Mabarule villages. More students from that area will be assisted by the Absa student study bursary that ensures that each year, 250 rural learners are digitally educated.

4. GWF  blogger Mpho Lebyane always shares the wisdom, inspiration and motivation from our morning circle under the tree everyday through Twitter. Each nominated staff member shares a quote under the tree to help us all start the day positively, motivated and encouraged. This past week, excellence and success were the prevailing themes.

5. GWF Media Coordinator Accolade Ubisi caught this moment as Open Learning Facilitator Teaman Manzini welcomed the new champions of Open Learning. 2015′s Open Learning champions have now moved to phase two, which takes place at their various school that were set up with mobile computer trolleys. A lot of love, learning and fun is anticipated for 2016.

6. Kate Groch shares a snap of a sneak preview of the inside of the new Justicia Digital Learning Campus. This campus is surrounded by the oldest and largest Marula trees with amazingly cool shades. From the Campus grounds, one can almost look right into the Sabi Sands and the Kruger National Parks. The campus will be launched in the middle of March this year.

7. Open Learning Plus is just a sniff away from opening its doors! Selby Mokoena is one of the most interested Open Learning Facilitators who tries out anything and everything tech and fun. Selby is currently preparing to start lego and coding, which he evidently cannot wait to start with.

8. The Justicia Campus will give access to digital education to more than six rural primary schools who are soon to join the education revolution. Kate looks forward to the day the first group of learners will set foot into the new campus.

9. GWF Media Interns Mfumo Thobela and Wiseboy Shabangu had the opportunity to facilitate in the Open Learning Academy for the first time this week. We look forward to stories about their experience that will be posted on the GWF social media platforms soon, with more beautiful photos such as this one that was taken by Mfumo Thobela.
