GWF Week In Edu-Tweets #39

1. From JDLC Coordinator Linky Nkuna, Linky was proud to show to show off the beautiful dusty dusk that graced the African sky of Mpumalanga, literally meaning the rising sun. We have a beautiful country and we love it.


2. From Hazyview Media Intern Wiseboy Shabangu, it is with great pleasure for a person to witness young people who are willing to nurture their minds through ‘wonder-filled’ learning everyday. The Open Learning students are very eager to learn new things and we are motivated by them to do better and work as hard as they do.


3. From Hazyview Media Intern Mpho Lebyane, Our facilitators recently held interviews for a new group of students for the ‘Introduction to Wildlife Monitoring’ course. It is amazing to know that young people that are still thinking of conserving our natural habitat.


4. From Hazyview Media Intern Wiseboy Shabangu, The barista team and students went on their first field trip at a coffee shop in Nelspruit called ‘The Food Fundi‘. The students were very excited to experience making coffee at a real coffee shop. We are very grateful to The Food Fundi for hosting the coffee beans.


5.  We are very proud to be still celebrating  women of South Africa and they are just ‘phenomenal’. This is a beautiful quote by Maya Angelou that our CEO Kate Groch shared with us this week.


7.  From Hazyview Media Intern Mfumo Thobela, our CEO Kate Groch was addressing the Bridging Academy students of Hazyview Digital Learning Campus. We have been half way through the year and the students needed some bit of motivation to get them back on track.


8. From JDLC Coordinator Linky Nkuna, the Justicia Campus students used the newly installed projector as they were taught how to decant wine as part of their ‘Wine Service’ module practicals. The were assessed by Witness Mnisi the hospitality master who has more than 24 years of experience.


9. From JDLC Coordinator Linky Nkuna, the JDLC Bridging Academy Coordinator, Fumani Mathumbu continued with the lessons with the Ready To Work programme. The students are two modules away from being absolutely ‘ready for workplace’ for sure.


10. And lastly from Hazyview Media Intern Mfumo Thobela, everyone gets to feel special at least once a year, and Mfumo felt special on her birthday. She was very grateful to the GWF family for helping her celebrate her birthday. We wish Mfumo many more years to come.
