GWF Week In Edu-Tweets #43

1. From Hazyview Media Intern Wiseboy Shabangu, later this week the whole world celebrated the existence of rhinos. These endangered species have been facing a tragedy and World Rhino Day aims to raise awareness to keep them being extinct.

2. From Hazyview Media Intern Mpho Lebyane, the jumpstart team held another session with the Bridging Academy alumni students this week. Jumpstart aims to place young people in jobs.

3. From Investec, on the 22nd of September the #WorldRhinoDay was trending. In partners with Investec, GWF  held the C4C programme that raises awareness to teach young school learners the importance of protecting and respecting the environment and particularly rhinos.

4. From Hazyview Media Intern Wiseboy Shabangu, the GWF digital hubs would be nothing without the Open Learning kids. They fill the barn with echoes of  music from their educational apps on a tablets.

6. From Hazyview Media Intern Mfumo Thobela, this past week the HDLC barn has been filled with endless workshops being held. But these Open Learning Learners didn’t let this hinder them, they used used the shade instead and continued with their ‘wonder-filled’ learning.

7. Our GWF Media Coordinator Accolade Ubisi and Ryan James have ventured to Cape Town to work there for the week. Accolade was very excited she even took a photo to show off her wonderful trip. We hope you had fun team.

8. From Ryan James who captured a beautiful moment were our Media Coordinator Accolade was interacting with kids from Khumbulani Centre and the Rhino Africa team.

9. From Hazyview Media Intern Wiseboy Shabangu, One Africa Online supported by Google visited the Hazyview and Justicia Campus to give digital skills training to the community. The programme aims to give rural African communities the skill to use online platforms as a business marketing tool.
