GWF Week In Edu-Tweets #55

1. From Philippolis Digital Lrarning Campus (PDLC) Coordinator Milla van Wyk: The Open Learning Academy bus still rolls in the Karoo. Grade 8 learners have started with their open space learning at Philippolis Campus.

2. From GWF Content Coordinator Mfumo Thobela: Every Wednesday preschoolers come running into the barn to begin with their colourful and wonder-filled learning. The young learners are being prepared for the digital marketplace but none of this would be possible without our sponsors and we would like to thank the Rand Water Foundation for their continuous support in shaping these young people’s lives.

3. From JDLC Coordinator Linky Nkuna: A lot of you might or might not know this, but Mpumalanga is very hot, in this part of our mini rural world the weather can get as high as 37-40 degrees celsius . The Justicia Campus Team used the heatwave to their advantage and did some test marking during their 2017 Open Learning pre-test session.

4. From Ryan James: GWF Content Coordinator Mfumo Thobela was awarded with an HP laptop as part GWF’s 2016 internship programme package. Congratulations to Mfumo for her new laptop and we hope she enjoys continuous exploration into the digital world.

5. From GWF CEO Kate Groch: Kate and Maya spent their weekend at Londolozi Private Game Reserve and got the chance to take some beautiful photos and some were shared on Kate’s Facebook timeline. Our digital CEO and Maya might just become GWF’s next photography interns.

6. From PDLC Coordinator Milla van Wyk: Every morning our GWF families in their various campuses share some quotes with themes of; growth, leadership, women empowerment, education and many more that encourage lifelong learning.

7. From GWF Content Coordinator Mfumo Thobela: Another learning session took place at Hazyview Campus and the learners are always ‘wonder-filled’ and eager to learn every time they walk into the barn. These preschoolers from a near village to Shabalala have been exploring digital learning since the beginning of January but as they dash into the barn every morning, its is still with the same excitement if not more.
