1. From Justicia Digital Learning Campus Head Linky Nkuna. The Open Learning Programme does not have school holidays, in fact it preys on school holidays when more children are allowed into the Good Work Foundation Barn for some self organized and ‘wonder-filled’ learning.


2. From GWF Group Media Coordinator Accolade Ubisi. So the theme for April on GWF’s social media and website is collaboration. On Thursday, GWF collaborated with one of South Africa’s successful women entrepreneur in marketing and branding Nonkululeko Nyemezi. Nonkululeko is an amazing public speaker who came to motivate and work with the GWF Team as well as the Bridging Academy Students at Hazyview and Justicia campuses.


3. From GWF CEO Kate Groch. So where in the world is GWF’s traveling digital CEO this week? This week that answer is given to us through her own tweet all the way in Oxford. Kate has been invited to attend the Skoll World Forum in the United Kingdom where she is networking with inspirational people from different parts of the world.


4. From Philippolis Digital Learning Campus. Down in Philippolis, the Bridging Academy students are busy with preparations for their upcoming International Driving License (ICDL) exam, with some students writing their very first computer exam.


5. From GWF Group Media Coordinator Accolade Ubisi who was more inspired by Nkululeko’s storytelling as she held GWF’s Values in er one hand and spoke to young rural women about going against the flow in creating their businesses and future.


6. From JDLC Head Linky Nkuna. For Linky who grew up in Justicia and had most of her education done under the tree, it is a dream come tree for her to see the JDLC Arena packed with children of Justicia Village under a tree again, but this time using technology and digital tools to learn. Here is to access to world class learning from rural digital hubs!


7. From Hazyview Digital Learning Campus (HDLC). This Thursday, GWF Prorgammes Head Maria Goretti Awogu gathered the Open Learning and Bridging Academy teams for a collaborative and programs update under the digital tree. This was the first meeting of this nature and collaboration conducted led the meeting to its pinnacle of success.

1o. From GWF Head of Development Ryan James. Ryan and Accolade recently attended a tree planting and conservation literacy event hosted by Konica Minolta South Africa, Food and Trees for Africa and the world’s largest rhino sanctuary Care for Wild Africa, for schoolchildren living in villages adjacent to the Kruger park. These organizations share the same vision for South Africa to have educated, and digital children living in a healthy conserved environment.
