2. From GWF #DigitalCEO Kate Groch, who shared a tweet about the hurricane that hit the Atlantic Ocean yesterday. Luckily Kate was not affected as she traveled via Hong-Kong back to South Africa after attending the All Heart Fund’s Safari Sarasota event.

3. From Head of Conservation Academy Byron Ross. The conservation team went on a field-trip to spend the day in ‘Care for Wild AFRICA’ animal rehabilitation centre earlier this week. Byron and the Konica Minolta South Africa (KMSA) bizhub team got the opportunity to feed milk and hay to orphaned rhinos. KMSA sponsors conservation literacy for grade four learners at GWF.

4. From Media Intern Mpho Lebyane. Mpho tweeted about the #mathsmagician and Open Learning facilitator Selby Mokeona who recently obtained an online certificate in coding. Coding has been added as part of Open Learning Plus for 2016,where top performing grade 5 students will get the opportunity to learn about coding, then also write online exams for certificates.

5. From Kate Groch, who shared a tweet about the interactive dinner and silent auction at Sarasota this week. This initiative was made possible by the work and continuous support from All Heart Fund, founded by Steve and Beth Knopik, parents of the late Leanna Knopik whose dream was contribute to education in Africa. The Knopik family support the efforts for improved learning in rural Africa.

6. From GWF, wishing Ses Emelda Mlambo, the GWF #songbird a happy birthday this morning under the digital tree. Ses Emelda is an International Driving License facilitator, humble and compassionate woman with a voice like an angel, who loves to start the mornings in song under the tree every morning.
