Hazyview Digital Learning Campus Wins CompTIA IT Award

In a recent ceremony held at Montecasino in Johannesburg, Good Work Foundation’s Hazyview Digital Learning Campus (HDLC) won a CompTIA award in the category: Most Growth Small/Medium Academic Partner.

CompTIA certifications offered at HDLC include A+ and Network+. The CompTIA A+ covers computer technology fundamentals, including installation and configuration but also networking, email and security. The CompTIA Network+ covers the configuration, management and troubleshooting of common wired and wireless network devices.

On the night of the ceremony, CompTIA CEO, Todd Thibodeaux said that information technology vocations such as programming are attracting the majority of young people to the detriment of IT infrastructure vocations. IT infrastructure is one of the most reliable employers: “We need to do more to educate kids about the opportunities of infrastructure jobs in IT,” he said.

The entire team would like to take the opportunity to congratulate Abna Machavana and Paris Moeng – our IT Academy Facilitators – not only on winning this award for HDLC, but also on achieving a 100 percent pass rate in 2015.

We would like to thank our partner on this project – T-Systems South Africa – and congratulate their ICT Academy on winning the award in the category: Largest Academic Partner.
