Investing in the Future Awards Finalist

The team at Good Work Foundation (GWF) and Hazyview Digital Learning Centre (HDLC) was very proud to be shortlisted in the “Investing in the Future and Drivers of Change Awards 2014” sponsored by the Mail&Guardian and Southern Africa Trust.

The award recognises individuals and organisations from across the southern Africa Region that are making a real impact, especially in developing effective public policies and strategies, to overcome poverty.

GWF was one of three finalists in the category: STEM Skills Development Award. Kate Groch (CEO of GWF), Angie Clifton (GWF Development Coordinator), Gay Sibuyi (Hazyview Digital Learning Centre IT Academy Coordinator), Mercyful Mathebula (Hazyview Digital Learning Centre Hospitality Academy Coordinator), Malena van der Westhuizen (T-Systems Head of Academies and Internships) and Ryan James (GWF Communications) attended the awards function held in Sandton on 28 October 2014. The winner of the award went to Investec Pro Maths – congratulations team Investec on a fantastic initiative (but watch out for the team in pink and grey next year!).
