"Education is the most powerful tool which you can use to change the world" – Nelson Mandela Madlala Learning Centre
Madlala Learning Centre is in partnership with a local high school in Justicia community. It is the mission to bring online, interactive digital learning opportunities to people who wish to invest in themselves.
Classes are run parallel for high school learners and adults. High school learners pay a membership fee, which allows english, computer and leadership lessons each week. Now that they are paying for their education, there is a new found expectation of excellence as well as a dedication to making the most of it.
Every 6 months, a class of adults complete the International Computer Drivers Licence (ICDL) qualification. The results have been excellent making the Madlala ICDL centre one of the top in the country.
Although Madlala is the pilot learning centre, it will become a satellite centre of the Hazyview learning centre which will be up and running in early 2012.
