Our Top 5 Good Work Foundation Videos

Videos give a sense of place. You get to see what we’re doing. See who we are. Experience the feeling of standing underneath the Digital Tree of Knowledge or building a new Digital Learning Centre on the edge of the great Karoo. We’ve chosen our Top 5 videos. Enjoy them and let us know which is your favourite.

1. Madlala Digital Learning Centre students sing “Joy – We are Family”

In 2013, the students of Madlala Digital Learning Centre blew us away with a remix of the song “Joy”. The song was dedicated to Busisiwe Mkhumbuzi, who spent a week with our young students discussing issues affecting young people. Readers lucky enough to have visited Madlala will know that it is a space overflowing with love, hope and talent. We will treasure this video forever.

2. Kate Groch Presents and Global TED Talk

Words cannot describe how proud we were when our CEO, Kate Groch, was invited to speak at the TEDInstitute Sessions in Edinburgh in 2013. For those of you haven’t heard the story, which starts with a three-month old baby in Philippolis, please take the time to watch this video.

3. Meet the Good Work Foundation ICDL Team

In this recent video released on Freedom Day, we go behind the scenes at Good Work Foundation’s Hazyview Digital Learning Centre, and introduce you to the young team delivering the International Computer Driving License. This is probably the most talented team of ICT facilitators in South Africa today – get to know them, and get a sense of what they do every day.

4. The Good Work Foundation Story

From Hazyview Digital Learning Centre, to Madlala and Londolozi, this is our Good Work Foundation feature film. Get an idea of what we do, why we’re doing it, and what the vision is. At the same time, meet some of our “famous” personalities, from Linky Nkuna to Vusi Sibiya the “tech guy”.

5. Good Work Graduation 2014

We are known for pulling off the best graduations in Mpumalanga. This year, we had guests landing in helicopters, a visit from the MEC for Education, and special presentation of a Cup that came all the way from Florida. Don’t miss out, watch the video.
