Where would I be?

If I had not worked at construction

If I didn’t sweat that much,

Building and constructing

If I didn’t boost my patience enough

If I didn’t hold on to the hard work I did

Where would I be?

One labour lady

The best one

Surrounded by a group of men

Yeah, tough ones

But I was tough too

Very determined

But if I wasn’t

Where would I be?

To me, all those struggles were steps to my success

Those were land marks

If it was not for the foundation that I was building

Where would I be?

As I was a labourer

A constructor

A builder

As I placed those bricks, I was building my success

As I constructed, I was constructing my life

Pushing that wheelbarrow, I was pushing my life forward

Today I’m proud that the premises I work in, I built it

The pink world we living in

The good work foundation I work in, I built it

Even though my life was full of challenges, I never gave up

If I did,

Where would I be?
