GWF CONTINUES TO SUPPORT FOOD RELIEF

Early estimations are that more than three million South Africans have lost their jobs due to the coronavirus pandemic. How we navigate this moving forward (as a country and a globe) is going to be a mammoth task. In the meantime, small acts of kindness go a long way and Good Work Foundation’s long-time partner, Rhino Africa, has stepped up in a not-so-small way, raising money for food relief in our most vulnerable communities.
With the funds raised, Rhino Africa worked with the OnePeople Fund, The Click Foundation, Penreach and our team at Good Work Foundation to feed families from the schools where Good Work Foundation and The Click Foundation have a collaborative footprint.
In the last couple of weeks we focussed on delivering maize to every single family at three of the schools where we work, reaching thousands of people. Working with other partners across South Africa, the OnePeople Fund has been able to deliver over three million meal portions.
We’ve included some photos below. Our School Liaison Officer, Crispen Bvumbghe, as well as our Open Learning Academy Facilitators have been incredible. Thank you Rhino Africa, and thank you to the team from The Click Foundation. And yes, “local is lekker” – thank you Matumi Fresh Logistics for your exceptional logistics support!
