What is your position at GWF?

Head of Campus Operations

How long have you been a part of GWF?

I have been with GWF for almost 3 years. End of February 2022 will mark 3 years of my beautiful journey at GWF.

What does a typical day look like for you?

OMG!! My day always starts with a short prayer of thanks and praise to my maker and provider at 5am. Followed by a glass of warm water with lemon and ginger most morning before my morning workout. I then get my two kids ready for school and my fabulous daily journey with GWF begins at around 7:45.  Though some days begin differently and much more crazier however I try my best to follow this healthy morning start.

My daily routine as Head of Campus Operations include monitoring daily activities in our organization/campuses to maximize productivity and efficiency. I support my team to assure the smooth daily running of all six GWF campuses. Assists my team in managing their budgets on a daily basis. Analyse daily activities regarding finances to control expenses while boosting our savings. I supervise my team and set objectives and desires, checking their advancement consistently. I also propose and review process improvements and manage operational and support with staff issues as well.

What is your favourite part of the job?

It is when a project that I have been working on becomes a success. Seeing it pan out fulfils me completely, it doesn’t matter how small or big it is. My role also allows me to interact with teams from all different levels of the organisations. This helps me stay grounded and I enjoy learning from the different staff members from different backgrounds and cultures. Basically the favourite part of my job is the diversity I experience every day.

What do you do for fun/ in your spare time?

I really enjoy reading books, listening to podcasts and enriching my brain and soul. I love spending time with friends and family as well. More than anything, I spend a lot of spare time with my lovely two angels one 7 and 9 years old. We exercise and run a lot together during our spare time.

Where do you see yourself in the next 5-10 years?

As GWF grows, my heart’s desire is to evolve and grow as the organisation grows. This growth means more campuses and higher demand in efficiency and how we operate with excellence at GWF.

In five years, I want to be regarded as the most competent and trustworthy Head of Campus Operations who can be entrusted with overseeing even a bigger GWF with campuses even outside the Hazyview Cluster. Additionally, I will have the experience to manage many teams and the efficiency to monitor their performance. I also believe that I will have the ability to perform my role even more effectively in delivering value to the organization.”

What is your favourite thing about GWF as a whole?

It is the amazing and positively exhilarating energy and humbling culture we carry within us consistently, each and every day.

What has GWF taught you about yourself?

GWF has taught me 3 things:

  1. I have learnt that I can actually be patient with people, and I am usually not patient at all.
  2. I have always been a hard worker and have known that I am purely a hard worker. However GWF has taught me that I am more than that. I am actually a soldier, a servant that serves endlessly, tirelessly  from the heart.
  3. I have also learnt I am very good when it comes to quality assurance, managing and resolving issues.

We hope you enjoyed this week’s staff spotlight! Stay tuned for more.
