This month, we are shining the spotlight on some of the GWF leaders making an impact in their communities. We are so proud of these GWF staff and alumni, who are displaying leadership in different but equally profound ways. We hope you enjoy reading their stories as much as we've enjoyed being part of their journeys.
Clementia Maphanga, GWF support staff, Hazyview
Clementia Maphanga is an essential part of our GWF team, ensuring that our learners, staff, and students can work in a safe, clean, and hygienic environment. Here is her story of leadership and service:
"At church, I am a pastor and in a worship team. That role has taught me about love, and about giving love to others to show how God loves them. I am grateful for this God-given opportunity to preach His word and be a leader in the community, at church and at work.
"Leading people is not easy because we are all different; you have to mould some of them and help them. You have to show them the love that God has planted in your life, not chase them away.
"GWF has helped me a lot by putting me in the midst of children and young adults. Whenever they need advice or a word of encouragement, I am there for them; I try to talk with them and show them the way. It helps me grow as a person."
