Introducing The Doozy: London’s bold ladies’ lunch for a cause

In November, we were honoured to be part of The Doozy in London, a gathering that brought together an incredible group of women to support the work of Good Work Foundation, and raised over £15 000 (about R340 000).

Here’s how Lorena Duguid, one of the event organisers, reflected on the day:

“We had such a fantastic day, and are so pleased with what we’ve raised. The amazing ladies who joined us said their highlights were the entertainment, the dancing, and the unique opportunity to connect with a multigenerational group of women in a relaxed social setting. The GWF team worked their socks off to make it the event that it was, and we are forever grateful for that.

“Good Work Foundation is important to us as all of the committee members have strong South African roots, and their work makes a powerful difference to the outcomes of the communities that we so want to give back to.”

Her words capture the spirit of the event – warm, joyful and rooted in a genuine love for South Africa and its communities.

We’re deeply grateful to Justine Healey, Lorena Duguid, Courtney Healey and Casey Manser, and every woman who attended. Your support directly strengthens our work across rural Mpumalanga, creating opportunities for young people to learn, grow and step into their futures with confidence.

If you missed this year’s Doozy, there are already early conversations about the next one. We’d love to see this community grow, so keep in touch by following The Doozy on social media.
