Huntington Digital Learning Campus

Good Work Foundation's Huntington Digital Learning Campus opened in 2017 in Huntington village, located in the greater Bushbuckridge area of Mpumalanga.

History

The Open Learning Academy programme at Huntington connects with a network of four primary schools in the area, while its Bridging Year Academy has an annual enrolment of approximately 65 young adults in the year-long course that gets them workplace-ready and prepared for tertiary education.

The campus employs eight facilitators and one coordinator at its Open Learning Academy, and four facilitators and one coordinator at its Bridging Year Academy, two support staff who keep the campus beautiful, and a campus manager who ensures operations run smoothly. Huntington prides itself on its passionate and dedicated facilitators, who inspire a love of learning in all who interact here.

I’m a diligent individual who believes in empowering others. I have a willingness to learn and get the job done. I’m accommodating and strive for the success of the team.

What are your goals and aspirations?

My goals are to continue with my business studies so that I can gain more knowledge and boost my leadership skills.

What do you consider to be your most impressive achievements?

I’ve achieved my International Computer Digital Literacy certificate. I’m a safe and healthy representative, and I’m studying towards my Higher Certificate in Business Management.

What's one quirky or fun fact about you?

I can be very firm when I need to be!
